This a great program that betters the Nordic Skiing community and the Gustavus college community.

Taking away a Varsity sport with aspiring athletes without telling them in advance. As a college athlete myself, I would be devastated if my team was suddenly cut. I believe my team is apart of my family and I believe that my college experience would be different and also very boring. Please don't deprive these kids of the opportunity to be apart of a Team that can compete for a chance to a NCAA level.

I think it is absolutely UNJUST to cut Nordic Skiing as a varsity sport, in a state where we pride ourselves in the tradition of cross country skiing, and at a college that STANDS for tradition. Please, Gustavus Athletics, reconsider.

Gustavus Nordic Skiing should not be eliminated. It is a Nordic sport at an institution that takes pride in its nordic roots.

Nordic skiers are universally hard-working, ambitious, and respectful athletes. These positive characteristics carry over to academic and professional atmospheres. You make an investment in GAC - and strengthen your college's reputation on- and off-campus - when you keep Nordic Skiing as an NCAA-competing team.

GAC graduate 1982: I am not going to send my kid to Gustavus if she cannot ski at the varsity level.

I was a Gustavus skier and my experience with the team was one of the best of my life.
