I think that cutting the Nordic Program will be one of the worst mistakes ever made! It most definitely benefits students!

Cutting teams brings a bad reputation to Gustavus that implies that they don't support or care about their sports teams or the people that are on those teams. Thats not a good image to have when people are looking at going to Gustavus after high school.

Nordic Skiing is a sport that fosters healthy lifestyle choices. In addition to this, Minnesota has a rich history in this sport and should be moving in a positive direction of growth and development for this sport. Bring the team back!

If there was a clear cut, logical reason to do this, I would accept this. Gustavus, as an alum, all I ask for is transparency behind your decisions. Skiing is a wonderful, worthwhile competitive venture, do not deprive future Gusties that experience.

Skiing is an important life sport and I would hate to see the Midwest start losing skiers to other states or having to drop the sport altogether as they progress through college.

Gustavus has been one of the optional college choices for my daughter beacuse of the Nordic Ski Porgram. If the program will be removed as a varsity sport she will not consider Gustavis. Please keep the program. Nordic Skiing has grown tremendously in the past few years in MN, and we have so many great young skiers. They deserve good college programs for Nordic Skiing, otherwise years of hard training and time investment are lost.
