Williams College skiing is not part of the NESCAC athletic division either, but has a full varsity program (nordic and alpine) competing on the EISA circuit, so the MIAC argument is a poor excuse. Save the ski team! P.S. Three US Ski team members are recent college graduates, underlining the importance of collegiate skiing as a pipeline for the US Ski Team.

Getting rid of probably one of the best sports in the world makes me sad. Nordic skiing is the hardest sport i have ever done (and i have done plenty).

I have trouble with the argument that it does not fit into the "future plans of our school." Gustavus has strong ties to Sweden which is known to be "into" cross country skiing.
