its time that this eyesore is brought back to its former beautey and be done with it its just falling apart

i was born and grown up in Grimethorpe and this imposing building has always been a land mark of the "Red City" part of the village. It would be a crying shame if it was demolished and suffered the same fate as other memorable buildings of the village like the miners institute and the cinema. I feel that if it was in some leafy suburb of Surrey and not Grimethorpe it would be saved by now. Ideally it should saved by the National trust or English Heritage and preserved for the nation. Good luck with the campaign.

The past must be preserved. Get it refurbished and transformed in to a community building to help make money for the local area.

walked past this every day on my way to school, it was in bad shape then. Buildings like this must be preserved
