Band is essential to our community and to keeping our children healthy.

We need the arts in all of our schools! Music and Art.

Our kids need music and other activities. Currently, there is too much bad in this world. It is up to us to give them a good and positive life.You had these good things, dont deprive them! Less supervisors and board members. Keep the music. Keep the band.

Please keep the music program, it is a great gift for children.

PLEASE invest in the children’s future and keep the elementary band teacher position. Music education is vital! SAVE THE MUSIC

My son is in the band, and he's excelling in a lot of other aspects of his schooling. Having band, helps him to know how to focus on a task, and he really loves playing. It would be a huge detriment to him, and all of the band members if there wasn't a replacement music teacher.

It’s a shame that a petition has to exist for this to begin with. I hope the program can remain intact.

I think people should have the right to express themselves with all kinds of music that they like to sing to and listen to

I graduated from Yough, Band was one of the most memorable fun experiences. Children need music just as much if not more then mathematics and science!!!

As a graduate of GS and the music program in the district, I highly encourage the GS school board to continue making the elementary band program a priority. I understand that funds are tight, but music and the arts are of incredible importance to developing well rounded students. Without an elementary program, the funnel to the middle and high school music programs will be severely diminished. It is safe to say that the majority of my memories from school (elementary through high school) involve music in some form, whether it be under the direction of Mrs. Palmascino, Mr. Hammil, Dr. Orange, or Mr. Tribble. I learned so much though my music education. Please, make elementary music education a priority.

I am signing to give students a well rounded education. To give students a positive reason to go to school and a place to belong.

Please save the band!! It’s my sons biggest interest in school. I don’t know how we would get by without him participating in the band.

Band is such an important thing in so many people’s lives. By taking it away, it is like taking away a sport like football.

Music is the joy for many kids.. it can and does carry someone through life... it is a foundation. Has proven to improve math skills..

Please save this position. Music is a vital part of education starting in elementary school.
