Change use back to library and sell off the existing library. Or...Change to tourist information centre and use as showcase for whisky industry. Perhaps a room each for those distilleries willing to participate.

This is a fanrastic building in a perfect location and should be saved for its historical interest as well. I know the budget contraints are tight but there must be a way of utilising this building for future generations. My family originate from the slums of lazarus lane and after 150yrs of being away from Elgin our heritage needs to be maintained.

This building is the property of the people and Moray Council should be held to account for its downfall, why was it not repaired after the fire?.This is a beautiful building the like of which will not be built in the future, needs a preservation order putting on it.

I am a Moray resident, not of Elgin, but I feel strongly that this building should not be allowed to deteriorate further, and should be kept in a good state of repair and used for its intended purpose when it was bequeathed.

I agree with Colin Lipscomb. They have failed in their duty to maintain and preserve this historical building. Maybe Historic Scotland could give some input to this issue as well. (Mr Montgomery point of contact)
