The whole family moved from Camarillo to Simi because of coach Hendo. I've coached against Coach Hendo. I wanted my son to be taught and coached by one of the best coaches on and off the field In VC. In one sweep Grace and the new administration has destroyed one of the best football programs in the state. The amount of disappointment is un measurable. The lack of communication and the handling of the football program will go down in history as the biggest fumble is history by a school. The character of the new Administration has shown its true colors. Coach Hendo and the team you are in our thoughts and prayers as we go through this difficult time.

This is a huge disappointment for our kids, us the parents and the entire community. How do you make a decision without a proper reason or explanation to our children? You took them from a state of mind of uncertainty, confusion and fear to a new level. Then once there, when they thought it was almost over and they were excited to finally play, you decide to drop a bomb on them.
This decision is extremely sad. Your decision is robbing them from their passion by taking away so much with removing the sport from the school. A sport that every high school has had since we can remember. Every high school looks forward to the football season more than any other sport. How can you do this to our youth?
When you combine this sport and the word of Jesus, you’re molding a young man, not just as an athlete but a great man who will walk-in Jesus name with his head high up! That’s exactly what Henderson was doing! This program along with the word of God is not only taking that athlete in this school, but the entire family and putting a blanket of strength into their lives. If you are only looking for your benefit not the communities or the children’s benefit through this decision, then what is the significance of Grace Brethren High?
Coach Henderson needs these boys and these boys need him! They need him as a leader, to continue to teach them that there’s more than just your average football team in our community. He strengthened our boys faith and has taught them discipline.
These boys are fragile right now, with all that has happened with COVID. They've been deprived from so much due to the pandemic and their limits pushed to their capacity. Yet their hearts have faith in our Lord. They have endured so much and some have lost family members or friends to this pandemic.
These boys have been forced to endure uncertainty and confusion with zooming and their worlds turned upside down. They don’t deserve this from the Grace. They couldn’t celebrate their graduat

We were supposed to play them this weekend but they couldn’t cause they don’t have enough players and as a player for calabasas I know how much I wanted a season they should be able to get one too

Coach Henderson, coaching staff and Pastor Howard have demonstrated that while they love football they love Jesus more. Coach Henderson, coaching staff and Pastor Howard have taught and demonstrated the love of Christ to more young boys/young men than we will ever truly be able to count. Very thankful for the life changing leadership and love of Christ that three of my sons have been blessed to receive and experience through Coach Henderson's ability to use football to help young men to learn about God and become disciples.
