Save Grace Brethren Football

Completely embarrassing. Grace takes a thriving program and stomps on it. The same thing that happened to coach Henderson happened to the basketball program when my dad was trying to build it. “It was a decision from above” (meaning the elders) stated Rory Carlton former AD. I do not see Grace Brethren surviving without football. It appears when Graces vision is not met the best thing they have come up with is fire that person. I will never support any Grace Brethren function ever again. This decision to get rid of Hendo because he doesn’t fit in with the “vision” might just be the dumbest thing grace has ever done, and they have done a lot of dumb things.

This is absolutely ridiculous

The elders don’t let the kids have a normal prom/homecoming because they find dancing inappropriate. Football is the only part of a normal high school experience these kids have and they want to take it away

Grace Brethren football helped my son become the man he is today! His faith is strong because of Josh and the other coaches!

I think your idea of canceling the football is ridiculous. A lot of these kids are looking at scholarships to further their career . Please don’t stop this program

I'm not sure I understand your anger. Sports, extracurriculars are a common part of EVERY high school experience. They build spirit. Colleges actually look for them on applications. Its not just the fact that they did it, it's how it was done. Underhanded, behind closed doors. What will be next? What sport, activity? AP classes? Why is it ok to just slash things without having parent input when those parents are paying tuition for those services? We paid tuition to attend a school a school with spirit, cheer and events. If they are not going to have this then my tuition dollars will go to a school where my children can participate in a well rounded Christian education with extracurricular options

What was decided was done in secret and without asking the parents and kids what they wanted. This was handled very poorly.

LMAO football alone does more for the school then the church and all other activities combined. Football games, publicity cause we kicked ass thanks to Hendo, revenue was insane even though money isn’t a problem for Grace at all. Football brought in 50% of the students that even go there.

Football is the only reason they got enough people to fill up classes at Grace and why the only enjoyable day of the week were Friday nights. Stupid ass boomers

I do not understand this decision. If there is another side, love to hear it.
