Bike lanes are valuable! Baton Rouge has so few and we do not need to lose the ones we have.

The way we move forward in Baton Rouge is by creating more transportation alternatives, not less!

I regularly (EVERY DAY) use this route to commute to work by bike. I also frequently drive this route, and have had no problems with bikers.

My family and I live in Hundred Oaks Park and use these bike lanes often/throughout the year. We need more bike lanes in BR, not less!

In a neigborhood where bikes are actually used, this is a no brainier. Keep the bike lanes. Encourage riders. Keep people safe. I lived at 557 Glenmore and I support saving the bike lanes.

Just because cars have gotten too numerous or too large to store on their owner's property doesn't mean they get to annex the public street in from of their home.

Save the bike lanes!! It's one of the last safe places to ride, we need more bike lanes like that all over the city.

Owners of a house have no more right to the street in front of it than anyone else.. The public funds the construction of streets. Not just the homeowners of that street.. Its ridiculous that these people expect the public to pay for a place for them to keep their cars.. Cars are personal property therefore a personal responsibility. Saying the public should pay for a road you can park on is like me saying your taxes should pay for the fridge I keep my food in..

The fact that this discussion is even taking place baffles me. Baton Rouge needs more bike lanes, to remove already existing ones is ignorant.

We have all worked very hard to get the few bicycle facilities we have in Baton Rouge. We all know the need for more and safer routes for both cyclists and pedestrians. Removing the bike lanes along these two streets would be a step in the wrong direction. The homeowners along these two streets do not own them, nor do the homeowners' associations for that area. The streets belong to all of the people of East Baton Rouge Parish. Furthermore, there are no sidewalks along Glenmore, so walkers and runners must use the streets in that area.
