The bike lanes are a necessary part of the overall culture of how Baton Rouge is evolving. Removing them would be a step backwards.

Didn't we want the bike lanes to begin with? They are a valuable asset to our community.

Destination Zero Deaths is a great organization with a good cause. I feel removal of infrastructure that promotes safety for the citizens of Baton Rouge is a step in the wrong direction.

please keep our bike lanes. I was noticing this morning that almost everyone on Glenmore has sufficient space in their driveways for at least four (if not more) vehicles. So, contrary to the complaints, it is not as though their only parking option is to get a permit, or to get a ticket. It would seem a small compromise to ask that they use the space they have in their own driveways and yards to park and leave the bike lanes unobstructed as safe passage for pedestrian and bike traffic. we should be able to accomodate one another!

By city permit for certain instances, lane closure is allowed. Otherwise, parking in a bike lane is illegal and dangerous.

I ride in and around Capital Heights multiple times per week. Glenmore as well as the other streets in the area that are designated for bikes make traveling through the area much safer and enjoyable. Baton Rouge needs MORE bike lanes, not less!!!

Let's work together with the usage of the lanes. People that live in the area should also have usage to park there, if needed for special times or when work needed in their home. The street is wide enough to go around.

Baton Rouge has very few bike lanes as it is. To remove one takes us backwards. This is a safety issue on a public thoroughfare which has had a bicycle lane in place for a decade. WHY are we going backwards? Safety first. Most homes along Glenmore have very long driveways and some have additional parking pads. If cars are allowed to park in the bike lane , it is useless wrt safety. Removing this bike lane just sets precedent. What's next? Removing the paths on Capital Heights, around the lakes etc? People can't park a car in front of my house but I am not so selfish as to petition the city to allow them to park in the street and endanger passersby. One HUGE problem with Baton Rouge is our extremely high rate of "variances" What is the point of having ordinances, making "plans" , envisioning our future, in writing, and having almost everyone skirt around the rules? We will NEVER be Americas' next great city if we insist on going backwards like this.

Cities worldwide build bike lanes to provide people with a cost-effective, safe, and healthy transportation option. Baton Rouge should do the same.

Absolutely worth noting and emphasizing - the vast majority of homes on Glenmore have long and wide driveways relative to most residential neighborhoods.

Keep the few bike lanes and paths we have and add more so that Baton Rouge can continue to become a place people want to move to, not away from.
