This is a well know and reputable home, with caring staff and management. The disruption to the residents will be immense and where will future residents proposed to go? Such a dreadful shame if this place closes

This is a vital part of the community.care homes are needed as people are living longer. The elderly living there will have a hard time relocating and they would have had to have done this by moving there in the first place. Many dementia patients will find it hard to readjust to Jew surroundings. Please keep this open

Back in 2017 this care home was a temporary home to my mum. She was the youngest ever resident at 56. The care and support she received was second to none. The staff made her feel welcome and comfortable. The residents had formed a little family unit. Christmas day at the care home was like your typical family Christmas at home. All residents received their Christmas lunch. The staff between them had purchased each resident a bag full of gifts ranging from blankets to smellies to chocolates. What an amazing gesture. As for the overpaid, empty heads sitting around that table working on this proposed closure, let's not forget their children will one day be choosing their nursing home. Let them remember that by cutting costs of care, moving and upsetting elderly residents (who many of them fought for us to live the lives we do today), removing jobs from the community of pontypridd, the empty heads children will have no other option than placing them in cheap, nasty, bed sits being attended to by incompetent people who will have the bed side manner of a Zuma wrestler. Maybe review the council's expenditure before picking at the smaller spectrum. Keep the place open.
