Can’t believe they want to close Garth Oleg my mother was there for many years all the staff were amazing it’s a very happy place and all the residents are happy and content

Theres no need to close the home, if the home itself needs improvements made, make the improvements, work on the home instead of closing it down

There are lots of elderly people living on Crown Hill and surrounding areas who would benefit from this facility remaining open.

I think it’s really bad that they are even thinking about it it is much needed and there is not enough homes like this now they should be opening more not closing them .

please sign the petitition to keep garth olwg open.so many residents need us carers at garth olwg to assist with their everyday needs 24/7 .please dont take their needs away lets put a stop to it

A lovely home for the elderly . Used 2 visit my gran here and was alway felt welcome very friendly staff .xx

This care home has been open for people to live in fro years . My nan worked at the care home for years .it gives local people jobs and elderly people homes

I beleive the care received at Garth Olwg is second to none! Why close the best care home in RCT!! Larger mass accomadation is not the way forward residence need and deserve Continuity of Care!!!! How is putting them in a multi storey facility like Dewi saint going to feel to residents possibly without the carers that have looked after them beautifully and treat them with respect and dignity. It's disgusting and this consultation makes a mockery of us as the new facility is already under construction!!!!
What will it be knocked down for??? A car park no doubt for Garth Olwg! I will be signing petition and writing to council please everyone do the same. Not just for the sake of patients but for the excellent staff some of which have worked there 30yrs since 16yrs old!!
Good luck staff and patients and families lets hope this and other community residential care homes are kept so we have the right to a personal service not a hospitalised existence that a multi home would deliver away from the villages that residents have always lived in.
