I first fell in love with Garlands over 10 years ago. The music was always upbeat, the crowd so very friendly, no piss heads groping you, no lads sliming on you. Everyone there just wants to be happy, dance, have fun and make new friends. I made friends there that I still love today. Even the drag queens and doormen were top guys. I am not gay...but have lots of gay male friends and never once would they feel threatened in Garlands (unlike other bars). This is a fab club and it would be heartbreaking for it to close
