Absolutely no way should consent be given in this area or indeed within other confines of a built up areas in Grimsby/ Cleethorpe area! If I or any other person applied for a licensed caravan park it would not be granted!

I thought we were tidying up Freeman Street, not adding to its deprivation. Councillors you should hang your heads in shame !
If this is agreed to, you may as well close the Freeman Street Market, and all the rejuvenation plans that were believed to be on the cards for the area may as well be shelved.

Why should the local tax payer have to pay for these people. They don’t respect where they park, they leave rubbish etc when they leave and the local council has to clear up after them.

Certainly not,keep them out in the country as isolated as possible.Its inviting trouble on an environment that is already toxic in east marsh,why make it worse???

I’m signing this petition because you really need to rethink this. I read in the Grimsby Telegraph how it is the intention of the local authority to regenerate Freeman Street. That won’t happen if you make the traveller site on the Garibaldi Car Park. It will be the end of the wonderful Central Hall. This building is an ideal music venue. Who’s going to go to it with travellers nearby?

You seem to ignore the fact that people out of town rely on decent and safe parking facilities when they attend functions such is supplied by Central Hall. What culture we have in the area should be encouraged not blighted.
