If charges are introduced, then it is quite likely the we would shop in Colchester were there is a wider choice of shops. The current 3 hr no charge encourages us to use Sudbury

as a former officer of Hadleigh Chamber of Commerce I helped fight parking charges in the 1980's and 90's. It is essential for town centre trade that Hadleigh and Sudbury keep this facility

Parking charges would only further deter people choosing to shop and use town centre based services.

The town centre shops will suffer if this happens and Sudbury will only contain charity shops and coffee places.

Without free parking I would be going to other towns or out of town outlets for my shopping. The free parking makes it easier - do not take this away please!! The town centre shops will suffer if this happens and Sudbury will only contain charity shops and coffee places.

Sudbury is a small town with not enough facilities and attractions to warrant paying for parking. A charity shop has even closed down.

Sudbury needs to keep free parking. The 3 hours free allows most people to do their shopping or get to their appointments.

Big reason why many people who don't live in Sudbury come here to shop, visit museums, theatre is the free parking.

I come from Bury to Sudbury regularly as it has something special about it, and Babergh has made it worth the trip with the free parking. Raising charges will make it less attractive for a trip out.

Three hour free parking is ideal for Sudbury. Shops will suffer . Charity workers people who need to pop in for an hour or two would have an effect on trade. They won't use Sudbury
