Free parking is what attracts people to the town and sets it apart from other towns in the area.

Both my wife and I now use Sudbury in preference to either Braintree or Colchester partly due to the free parking, partly due to the good shops experience!

Keep free parking for Sudbury. It's one of our unique selling points.

I often shop in Sudbury. I feel that if the parking charges were introduced many people would take to parking on the already congested roads around the edges of Sudbury or may even decide to shop elsewhere. A small town like Sudbury would suffer badly if parking charges were introduced.

Town centres are essential for our general well being. They sturlle with internet shopping and large out of town stores .It is government policy to improve the vitality of centres. To introduce charges can only have a negative effect. People will not just pop in to the centre. The evening economy will die it has happened elsewhere Keep Sudbury alive and well with free parking

Removal of the 3 hours free parking will have a significant detrimental impact to the town. Why would you even consider this?

Save our car parks - no free parking means less footfall which means less revenue going to the area!

It is imperative that the Council reconsider - free car parking encourages people into the town, not only locals but holiday makers that visit our historical town.

I believe that shopping locally should be encouraged, and this move may have the opposite effect.

A very short-sighted move - local shops depend on customers who may think twice about visiting Hadleigh if parking charges are implemented

free parking is the attraction to keep shopping locally & not online
