Free 3 hour parking is a great benefit to Sudbury and is a major factor to attracting visitors. This should continue without doubt.

I choose to visit Sudbury specifically because of the free parking. Without it I would most likely opt for an alternative destination.

Free parking encourages drivers to shop in town as opposed to visiting out of town shopping centres .

The council should keep parking free. Parking charges would probably reduce the number of shoppers to the town & result in more small independent business closures. They should also significantly reduce the business rates to attract more businesses & lessen the number of charity shops.

free parking is the something that Sudbury has got that Bury, Ipswich & Colchester have not. charging for Parking in Sudbury will certainly lead to less people visiting an spending money in the town.

It is so important to local businesses to have the free parking. I certainly know that I would go less frequently to Sudbury if we were to be charged for parking, which in turn means less money is spent by me and many other customers in the local businesses in Sudbury.

I urge the council to keep free parking if they introduce it it will kill off shops and they will lose out on business rates

As a visitor from Toronto to the East Anglia area, Sudbury is always on our list at least a few times per trip for the shopping because of the free short-stay parking. If you change that, our shopping habits will change.

My husband and I favour Sudbury over Halstead and Braintree. It has lots to offer and very historical.

The town is struggling as it is, charging for parking with the likes of Freeport against you, will just kill of the town, like most other small shops.
