Why are we closing good schools? Here's a thought - close poor schools instead.

I want to school board to vote against closing Fox Ridge. Be content on closing Haines as planned and leave it at that. If not, request they do more research to make a better informed decision that includes resident/parent's decisions and what is best for the children. Gain our trust without making shock and awe proposals like this. At least give the town 2 years to digest the idea and time to plan the changes to their children's lives.

I love fox Ridge and everything the school has to offer. The thought of sending my 2nd grader next year to his 3 school breaks my heart.

Please reconsider the closing of this school. My young grand niece attends this school and has invested her trust into the teachers and formed deep bonds with her classmates and the instructors. Your proposal will shatter her world of certainty and trust. Please do not be responsible for the disruption of so many children and instructors . I implore that you take to heart the impact of the proposed closing on those most vulnerable and choose to keep the school open for the joyful venue of education and development for our future adults, our beautiful children and their dedicated instructors. Please work toward inviting and enticing more attendance with some extra programs possibly. Please keep the school open, please!

Hi all! Please help save Fox Ridge. Whether you currently have kids enrolled or not, it’s negativley impacting our community! Don’t let this proposal get passed as it’s dividing up our neighborhoods! For reasons that I can explain for hours and hours, the committee and administration are acting with negligence and ignorance towards our families. It will also will drive down home values and prevent new families from moving in. Please join us in protest and speak LOUD!!!!! We respect whatever decision or reason you have so please voice it.

It is cruel to just kick students out of Fox Ridge to save a few bucks! A kids school is a comfort zone along with their friends and teachers. They spend much of their time there and have great relationships with friends and teachers. Breaking them away from that could be devastating, especially to children who may already be struggling or struggled in the past to make new friends and find that comfort zone.

This is ridiculous. They should’ve just close Lincoln school last year as it is the only school in the district that does not provide any type of grass for play areas for the children during recess or for PE. It’s a land-locked building, one of the oldest buildings and should’ve been closed but the school district crumbled to the pressures of very active residents in that area. Now they’re turning on a beautiful school with beautiful property. It’s time for new school board members
