Fox Hollies Environmental Centre, where for many years it
has served as a place to visit and learn about animals. The volunteers are all
dedicated to the care and wellbeing of the animals and often pay for thing out
of their own pockets. It had improvements made to it with money from Veolia
trust but has since been allowed to deteriorate, it'll be a sad day when it
closes on the 31st March 2018. This will
leave the volunteers some with disabilities with no where to go and nothing to
do.
Help us save the Centre, or maybe start a fresh somewhere in Acocks Green.
We need more of this type of centre, not less. It fulfils an educational need for inner city children, and opportunities for further education and life/work experience for older students, as well as a constructive outlet for their abilities and interests. Surely the centre can re-open, in a different location if necessary, and continue its important community function. Thank you
