I take my son to the park and we both enjoy having a sandwich and drink at the cafe. It would be a major loss to loose this facility or have some bespoke retail take over. FPHP started this venture, let them continue it!

Extremely disappointed at the news. The friends of Pennington park have made this a success story that should be rewarded not punished for there hard work and dedication. They have made it a safe, appealing place which is respected by the local community and continues for now to be an example of what the can be achieve when we all come together.

I thought this would have been the ideal set up for 'The Deal' Wigan Council. Ie a community group putting something back into the community.

The volunteers should be left to continue the great work they are doing here, making this a wonderful place for all the community to enjoy. This should not be allowed to go to a company just out to make profit, they won't care about bringing people together simply for the joy of it and love for the community
