The Friends of Pennington Park have put there heart and soul into this Cafe, please look at the major benefit it is to the community and don't ruin it by opening it up to money hungry outsourcing. Thank you.

Would be a shame lo lose such a wonderful little cafe. It is a popular venue with very reasonably priced, good quality drinks and cakes. The cafe has brought so much to the park in many ways, especially the Christmas lunch they serve for local people who would otherwise be alone, The park has benefited so much from Pennington's Tea Rooms, it put the heart back in the park. I hope the council reverse their decision.

Wigan council are a joke and only think about their own town the cafe is allways busy while were on subject wigan council should start sending money on leigh or bring back leigh council

The FOPHP do more than just serve tea, they help bring the community together and keep up community spirits. I'm disgusted with the way Wigan Council is behaving in this matter and am strongly against FOPHP not maintaining control over the cafe.

Really very sad. The Pennington Tea Rooms and volunteers do so much for the community young and old. How many Wigan councillors use this facility and appreciate how much it means to the town of Leigh. The Volunteers put a smile on so many faces.

This is ridiculous. This tea room is ran completely by volunteers who do a fantastic job, even as far as giving up their Xmas day to feed others in need. Shame on Wigan council for trying to make a few extra ££s
