The council didn't want it when it was run down and derelict! Please local people support these hard working volunteers who are trying to provide a nice place for you all.

This lady deserves an OBE for her dedication and services to the community. She is an inspiration, the cafe is a hugely appreciated community resource and wigan council ought to be encouraging and celebrating voluntary organisations like this!

Pennington Park's Tea Rooms should remain in the hands of the volunteers who set it up and have made it what it is.

I feel that its absolutely disgusting that you are closing such an important part of our community. People of all ages and from all walks of life enjoy using this tea room to meet up, hangout and enjoy it playing a huge roll in our community. Please don't shut it, we don't understand why

Is the Council trying to totally destroy Pennington, I helped to save the Park some years ago when Wigan wanted to sell it for development.

I absolutely cannot believe that it has even been suggested to close this fantastic community Tea Room, the volunteers are hard working & have made Pennington Park a lovely place to spend time with family & friends. I along with many other people would be extremely sad & very annoyed if this happens. I go there often as it is close to where I live & have told many people about the lovely Tea Room & the fantastic work those volunteers do. Reconsider as this is a very bad decision.

I'm appalled to hear you are taking away this facility from the volunteers who've worked very hard to set this up.

This is a fantastic voluntary run venue and it would be a travesty to undo the hard work of these dedicated people. This is a great asset to the community. Come on Wigan Council, do the sensible thing and do not put this out to tender. Let this great success continue by people who love what they do and their community!
