I really hope that the tea rooms do not shut down. The volunteers do a fantastic job

This is an absolute disgrace . Wigan council should be ashamed of themselves the great work that these volunteers do should be shouted for the rooftops . This is what is so wrong in the world we have a fantastic place that is there for the community and for so many people to meet and talk to a friendly face which so many unfortunately may not have this opportunity . You really need to think before you put greed in front of our community and the service this great place provides . I cannot imagine many business giving up thier time on Christmas Day to provide a friendly place to enjoy and share Christmas dinner with who do not have anybody else but these guys do ...

Leave Pennington tea rooms alone People have really worked very hard at making this a success. And are very respected in the community

Leave our tea rooms alone. The volunteers have put in too much hard work for Wigan Council to allow someone else to come along and destroy it.

Pennington Tea Rooms should continue to be run by the very hard working and loyal volunteers.

This is disgraceful and greedy behaviour of Wigan Council. This little cafe is an absolute gem, as are the volunteers. Please keep your hands off.

This is now a vital facility for the community and should be allowed to continue with their good work,Wigan council should not be allowed to get away with pilling the rug from under their feet.

For Wigan Council to even attempt to do what they suggest is nothing short of illegal profiteering!

Love the staff and the tearooms. Scandalous of Wigan council, it lay empty for years and they didn't come near. They see how well it has done and now they want the fruits.

So unfair when The Friends of Pennington Park have worked so hard to bring this little park to a thriving community space. The tea room is the heart of it leave it alone. The staff and volunteers are worth their weight in gold.

This is unfair to our community, volunteers have set this cafe up, making no profit, the cafe would still be closed if they had not opened up the cafe to the community on every level, including Christmas and everyone who lives on their own

Why close a successful hub of the community which is voluntary. All the hard work the volunteers have put in should be rewarded not destroyed.

Such sad news. A lot of effort and goodwill given from the volunteer friends of pennington hall park, not to mention the selfless hours put in . Common sense must prevail here.
