It is in the best interest of the community to have the tea rooms run by the dedicated volunteers who have done an amazing job over the last few years. Pennington Park has had events organised to bring the community together, this was done by people loyal to Pennington Park, who are dedicated to making it a success.

I hope someone in the council takes notice of the outcry from local people on this. The volunteers showed what can be done by pulling together. Shame on Wigan council for profiteering for their efforts when the council had no interest in the run down building falling into disrepair.

This tea room is great for the community and has been fantastic. The volunteers and friends have worked so hard to make this work and to make it a success and that is because they actually care and not because they want to make a profit. It would be a significant loss for this to go.

This tea room and group is the heart of the pennington community and have done amazing things with park over the last few years .... "what a shame"!. Just goes to show the council has no idea, I really hope that this gets turned around.

The Pennington Tea rooms are integral to the community, we, as a family spend quality time there and meet friends. This all down to the tea rooms, the environment, the volunteers in particular and the effort and thought they put into the activities for the community. And this is down to the commitment and enthusiasm of the team of volunteers. Myself and my family value the tea rooms immensely in our weekend activities.
