To suggest that the tea rooms should be put out to tender is disgusting considering the effort FOPHP have gone to to develop the tea rooms. Will profit be put back to the park, doubtful.

Disgraceful, how about the nodding dog local councillors finding some balls. If they don't then bin them.

Why are so many good causes being overlooked in favour of ones that don't need help?

Really disgusted to hear that Wigan council cannot continue to support the fabulous volunteers at this cafe. My heart goes out to Trish & George who have worked so hard to turn this place around. What a way to thank them.

Wigan council should be ashamed. They didn't want the cafe for years -now they have seen it flourishing - they want it back?! This cafe has been the heart of the community. All what the team have bought to the park- and the way they do the cafe up when it's Easter/Halloween and especially Christmas! The reason this has been so successful is the people running it. A bad decision wigan council that needs over turning.

This is a fabulous community cafe so wrong to even consider closure we should be investing in small community projects....they are the future beyond profit margins

I think it's disgusting! To take this away from a voluntary group who did this for the love of the park and our town, and make it into a money venture, for the greed of the counci!
