Please keep this cafe going by the present volunteers and listen to their views. After all they have proved their worth to the community.

Pennington hall park tea rooms needs to stay, it would be a crime to society for anything to change with it. What an amazing contribution they have made.

These guys took a derelict building that had not been used for years and turned it into a community hub. Now Wigan council smell money it's thanks but no thanks. Shame on the people in authority that would allow this.

Leave the cafe as it is. It's a credit to this town. As are the events they run, especially at Christmas. The volunteers who run the cafe make this a Soecial place. Don't take it away

Wigan Council trying to cash in on a good thing. Worked in the park for over 15 years as a youth worker and when there was nothing like this that the council provided, we ocassionally put on fun days but would have been more of a sucsses it the tea rooms had been open then. So sad to see it go, a great loss to the people of Leigh.

Deeply saddened and somewhat bewildered that notice has been given to a group of successful volunteers that are not only kind and caring but are truly passionate about are their community.

This park is a lovely place to visit. It's well kept and has a variety of things to offer. The fact that there is a place to have refreshments encourages more people to visit, bring their children to play and also older members of the family to see the beautiful gardens, There aren't many places like this left and to see it gone would be a tragedy. These people have done a fabulous job of creating a warm, clean, welcoming atmosphere that encourages people to visit the park and spend time there. Putting this facility out to tender takes away the heartfelt community feeling that brings people to the park in the first place. Don't make this about money; keep it as a community thing or else the love and welcoming feeling will be lost. These people have proved themselves and what can be done with love, commitment. This isn't about business, it's about community spirit and this is what exists here right now. A very rare and cherished thing.

I am disgusted. Lovely community hub, with lovely food and service with a smile. I do not want it to be replaced by money grabbers serving plastic food
