This is disgusting , they try to make out they have the local community's best interest at heart ... what a load of rubbish ! Wigan councils Community Investment and The Deal is all about Getting the community involved and getting volunteers for successful community groups ! Why get rid of a successful community group when this is what that are encouraging and promoting????Because it is in Leigh and not Wigan that's why !!!!

I come here at the weekend with my children and they love it. It will be a shame to close something which is extremely community focused.

This is a complete outrage.....these people have done s fantastic job engaging Pennington and surrounding communities to come together for events but for the most appreciating Pennington Hall Park and it's beauty........ Greedy Wigan Council once again ...... Shame on you ......you should be supporting your communities not looking for ways to make money from them ....... Save the Tea Rooms and support the charity not cash in on their hard work....

We love the tea rooms. Such a welcoming place. So sad that the council are trying to close it. Hope that this helps

Very disappointing, I really feel for the volunteers who have brought this cafe to life. They have obviously highlighted the potential for a tea rooms in the park and now Wigan Council are going to profiteer from that.

Why does greed always take over ?
I remember as a child the cafe/ shop was exciting then nothing for years
This group have injected their time and effort and created something great
