Austerity cuts by Government are biting deep into all local authority budgets.....but please let this community group carry on doing what it does so well,putting the heart back into the community rather than having some 'faceless",profit orientated business come in & ruin all their efforts.

Wigan council should not be allowed to do this, it should be the communities descision I am appalled this is happening!!! Stop being money grabbing and just do what's right for once and leave our community to continue to do the amazing things to enhance our lives

I loved Pennington Park as a child and still visit even though I now live miles away. Please keep this cafe open.

I love going here with my kids. It's only down the road. And the staff that work there are so friendly. It would be such a shame to see it closed.

It's run by volunteers and doesn't need commercialising - I understand the need to make money in this time of Tory austerity but there are plenty of opportunities to make a few quid without attacking communities

The tea rooms are a fantastic example of a community coming together to make Pennington a better place . Wigan council should be ashamed of this behaviour.
