Wigan council please leave our cafe in Pennington park in the hands of the hardworking volunteers. They have made the cafe a lovely place to buy refreshments. Not to mention how helpful and friendly service they give to customers.

This lovely, friendly little Tea room seems to be a popular meeting place for a snack and a chat. Always quite busy whenever i have visited, and would be sad to see the closure.

We frequently take my elderly mother and my two children to Pennington tea rooms and have attended many organised events. Will be so sad to see it go.

Wigan didn't want to know until it became a viable enterprise that was started and run by volunteers to make out local community better.

Absolutely disgraceful that after years of allowing these buildings to go to rack and ruin, the council can decide that they want to take the café from people who have done such an excellent job rebuilding a sense of community in Pennington park.
I regularly walk to Pennington Park with my children from the other side of Leigh as we love the atmosphere there and it is our favourite park in Leigh, a great deal of which is due to the work of these volunteers. I truly hope the council have a change of heart
