An absolute disgrace from Wigan Council. This is a fantastic facility that has made a genuine difference to the community through the hard work of all the volunteers.
Please do not close the tea rooms!!

In a world full of greed and misery, this little cafe brings happiness, community spirit and all things simple and lovely. I think it's so stupid to let it go.

An absolute disgrace that the council would dare to take something from someone who has built it into a success from nothing. And completely voluntarily! Is it any wonder not many people volunteer for things anymore?! Greedy and completely out of order! Do the council not make enough money?!

I use to work at a care home where we brought our residents here in the summer, they loved it. Some care homes don't have the funding to do social activities with there residents. Taking this cafe away from Pennington Park will be such ashame.

Pennington park is a lovely place to go and the people running the cafe have the credit for turning the place around. I can't believe that Wigan council want to remove something else we gave that's good about Leigh. Please leave this alone and let us have a lovely park to enjoy after all it's one of the few lovely places not being built on .

I think this is all wrong closing Pennington cafe there are not many places like this that are ran by such lovely people who take time to work for nothing n are very friendly to give a lovely service. It's a safe n friendly place where kids go to do activities n where first time mums like myself found a lovely relaxing place to go after walking to the park to grab a nice lunch n a bit of friendly chat. Pennington is a lovely place having this lovely park n cafe,with the cafe being there its stop the park getting spoilt as there people around in away keep n eye on things taking the cafe away takes the friendly n welcoming feeling to the park.

This cafe is fabulous and the people are so friendly - what they do is amazing and it's such a wonderful asset to the local community. We would hate to see it go.
