It's independent traders in the Folly market which help make Petersfield unique. Demolishing the Folly Market would mean losing some of Petersfield's character. We don't want to be a carbon copy of other bland market towns do we??

I have been going to the folly since a little girl and it is important to me the it remaines. I enjoy visiting there and going there either friends and family to sit have something to eat in chin wags and then mooka, then to look around rainbows to see what they have this time. I know my friends enjoy going to Sweeney plod because it's reliable and like the barber. There is so much to love there it would be devistating to see it gone and replaced with a monstrosity such as flats!
The folly is more than just the shops in it, it's the whole thing myself and the rest of petersfield love
Don't get rid of it!

We don't need any more housing in the town centre, we need shops and nice places to draw people into the town and to spend spondoolies or we'll end up with a ghost town or just coffee shops. And that'd suck.

There are so many individual unique businesses here, you don't find them on the high street, we need to keep hold of them and the Folly Market is the ideal spot to keep them

This is what makes the market town of Petersfield unique. Small businesses thriving and giving shoppers something different. We don't want Petersfield losing its identity to become a high street full of big names like any other town.
