The value of a group like this is far reaching for not only the mother and baby but the father, siblings and wider family and friends who are unable to provide the necessary support needed in the early years which equip the child with vital skills for a confident start in life.

This grouped changed my granddaughter's life & I would be worried for the health & wellbeing of future mothers & their babies should the funding be stopped.

This is SUCH an important group. This made all the difference in the very difficult early days of being a new mum who wanted to breast feed and was finding it tough. The support is second to none- and the reason I am still breast feeding now ( my son is just 2 years old). My understanding is that easy Devon has really high numbers of mums who breast feed- and I am sure it is down to groups like this. Pease don’t be short- sighted on this DCC- cutting funding for this group is definitely false economy for future generations of children and their mums!

This support group was such a massive help to my partner when our daughter was first born, it would be the biggest shame if it went

My daughter successfully breastfed her son for 2 years ( and still going) thanks to this group ! It could save the nhs money in other ways when mum's are able to breastfeed

Bossom buddies... a safe comfortable hub, a place to make friends, a place to share ideas, a place to find out about other services within the local community, trained, skilled passionate approachable staff.
wellbeing....
Mine, my daughters, my family, my community.
preventative support...
reduction in hospital visits, reduction on NHS support, reduction in post pregnancy depression, reduction in feeling a failure and giving up, reduction on financial implication/buying milk.
My sister would not have been able to leave hospital without the support from Jodie.
The impact on my overall wellbeing would have been significant if I had not received the support from Jodie.
This is a vital service to many new mums.
