I have had dance lessons and theatre classes here, and many others also use the wells centre. Elderly people also have various events here, where they gather with friends and meet new people which is the most important thing, especially getting older. The wells centre holds plenty of memories for everyone, and we'd hate to see the centre get destroyed, and our memories too.

The Wells Centre is at the heart of our community and should stay there. In particular its toddler group and wonderful facilities for the elderly should be preserved; they are life-savers. Things to do and opportunities to come together as a community should not be discarded lightly - meeting such basic needs provides a foundation for purposeful and happy lives.

This centre has been here for over 60 years serving this discrete area. How badly does it reflect on the RA if they sell it off? Absolutely shameful!

The Wells Centre is a hub of the community and is used by a wide variety of users of all ages. I am a member of Epsom Players, a local theatre group and we rehearse at the Wells weekly, performing at the Epsom Playhouse.

Taking away community resourses only helps to destroy communities. Residents in different parts of Epsom want and need local sevices, not just things in the town centre. The Wells centre is well placed for serving it's local community, especially the elderly and young families. Maybe more could be done to increase it's use futher to ensure that costs are covered, rather than to remove existing facilities which many enjoy and rely on.

The Well Centre is far too important to the community to be sold off. Get your act together RA and make the centre pay its way.

This centre is what community is all about. Shame on the Council for minimising its importance!

This is a short-sighted proposal given the value of community life in this part of Epsom with no other facilities and just one shop.

My grandchildren both attend dancing classes at this centre and they have had birthday parties there. It is an excellent community resource.

My godson went to the Wells Centre Pre-school and made some great friends. It would be fantastic for it to stay open so his younger brother can also go there too. 'Please stay open, a valuable asset to the community'

I've had so much benefit from the classes for the over 55s at The Wells for the last 14 years. It would be a waste of such a useful resource if it was closed.

Recent reports have highlighted the benefits of social interaction and exercise for the over 50s which the excellent Wells Centre provides.

I've used this centre so many times, for birthday parties, children's activities, ballet lessons, preschool. It's the heart and soul of the Wells and surrounding estates and it's a crying shame the residents association would even dream of closing it. It runs fantastic events for the elderly of the area, where would they go if the Wells centre wasn't there?
