Its a disgrace for wells centre to close without proper consultation.how much does the centre cost to run? residents association should and will be ashamed of themselves if it closes, they exist to represent the residents you fools!!. Closure of the centre may also threaten the existence of our great little corner shop as there revenue will reduce.

The wells has been my home for 64 years please don't take away the few things the borough gives to us MATURE residents. And also the up and coming that could use the facilities it provides, we are a community please don't take that away.

Closing the centre would be a gross waste of the money that has already been spent in providing the facilities for the residents of The Wells. As well as the many other activities that take place at the centre, as I approach retirement age I was looking forward to joining the lunch club, where I could walk and return to my home safely - the Longmead Centre is not local! The Wells is an iconic community and deserves its own facilities.

I am 86 and live on The Wells. I would not travel to the Longmead as it is just too far and too much of a change at my age

Two wrongs don't make a right. The Conservative government should not be cutting council grants so deeply, but the RA are wrong to cut services. A far more radical approach is needed, because there are other services at risk too.
Yes, we used to take lunch at The Wells - and go on the group holidays. Lots more would use it now if it was properly marketed.

Damage the lives of many vulnrable old folks esp in Wells estate Put them at risk, as this may be the only hot meal of the day Stop ballet lessons for the young Put more strain on NHS Hospital Services, when these people fall, or become
ill because of lack of nourishment Couldn't the cuts come from somewhere else? Even the Councillor Colin Taylor and hiswife used the Wells. when their house was out of action ! It is 'Open to All;!
