Huge safety hazard for kids even if the limit is lowered from 55, and a huge hit to property valuation. Opposition to this will be strong in media and court.

I am a retired professor from TAMU and have lived in Emerald Forest over 30 years. I love this neighborhood. By extending or expanding the Emerald Parkway through our subdivision, it will destroy the quietness and safety, which we seniors value most.

As homeowners in their 60's who bought this as our retirement home, it is unacceptable to divide our neighborhood in half!

I agree in not expanding emerald parkway and destroying an established neighborhood.
There are other proposed routs that can work without destroying and disturbing and endangering residents in this well established neighborhood.

I am in utter disbelief that anyone could propose this stupid and harmful road change which would partition our Emerald Forest subdivision and further erode our quality of life. Keep Emerald Parkway as is.

I am against both extension and expansion of FM 2818 through Emerald Forest.
It would destroy our neighborhood and way of life. Our children would lose their peaceful childhood homes. Our retirees would lose the peaceful place they chose to live their golden years. You would destroy an established community and devastate local wildlife. Already at the mere proposal our property values have begun to fall.
Do not destroy this community. Use already established roadways- Wellborn to Rock Prairie to Bird Pond.
Do not expand or extend 2818 through Emerald Forest.

We live at 8307 Shadow Oaks in Emerald Forest. We are opposed to running a major road through our sub-division to connect to Hwy 30.

Proposed plan to locate major roadway through Emerald Forest, or an extension of 2818 into Emerald Forest, will be more costly to residents of College Station and Brazos County than any long-term benefits. Less expensive and less disruptive alternatives are available that will yield a positive benefit-cost.
I oppose the expansion and / or extension of 2818 onto Emerald Forest Parkway.

Previous decisions by city planners have demonstrated lack of vision and lack of care for the residents of College Station. Roads that lead to Hwy 30 exist already. Why would city planners consider destroying an established neighborhood to create a new road to Hwy 30? They should not consider this option at all. The answer is to develop pre-existing roads to accomplish their goal while preserving our city's residential neighborhoods.

Hwy 30 has 6 access points currently. The costs of extending 2818 via Emerald Parkway would not be the best use of public funds and it is your fiduciary duty to use tax payer funds in the most effective way. Not to mention the irreparable harm that will be done to this well established neighborhood. Emerald Parkway needs to be left as is.
