This ill-thought-out plan should serve as a wake up call and a warning to other neighborhoods to be vigilant. This can happen to you, too.

I am devastated by the callous and thoughtless nature of this proposal. It appears that planning was done without regard for any consequences. There are many, many other greater imperatives for traffic control that could be accomplished without destroying an existing neighborhood.

As a 19 year resident and home owner of Emerald Forest please do not expand 2018 into our neighborhood. Use an alternate route which does not involve an established neighborhood

Expanding 2818 through Emerald Forest would devastate our neighborhood. The quiet, peaceful, tucked away feeling is why my husband and I chose to buy in Emerald Forest this past year. I run every morning before daylight. My children ride their bikes and walk to the park, crossing Emerald Parkway, to get there. I would be extremely concerned about their safety if 2818 cuts through our neighborhood for many reasons. Please formulate a different plan for extension.

Why is the city council ignoring the long term plans they approved 2 years ago? This will destroy an existing neighborhood, and they have other options.

Please do not cut our neighborhood in two by turning Emerald Parkway into a 4 or 6 lane roadway.

The proposed MPO expansion of 2818 through Emerald Forest would not only be destructive of the neighborhood but detrimental to the overall character of the city and community at large. The proposal has already had a negative impact on the neighborhood just in its initial proposal and continued existence thus far. Please take the proposed 2818 extension off the MPO map. There are at least two better routes.

Please do not approve this expansion. Rock Prairie route is much better alternative.

I agree with my husband, Tom Nelson. Extending 2818 through our subdivision is not a good idea in 2017 ...

The most logical and beneficial extension from Rudder Freeway to SH 30 is Rock Prairie east or William D. Fitch Parkway east. It just does not make sense to extend FM 2818 through this heavily wooded and beautiful subdivision ... and it would require the destruction of many homes!.

It is essential that every member of every household in Emerald Forest sign this petition. Please read the petition and join in one voice to protest even the suggestion that the expansion of 2818 into Emerald Parkway, thus dividing our peaceful Emerald Forest neighborhood in two, be discarded immediately.
