This road expansion or extension will ruin a lovely quiet neighborhood.

Expanding 2818 through Emerald Forest will destroy a vibrant, family friendly, walkable, and established neighborhood. The safety of our residents would be lost because it would be divided by a massive, high-speed roadway. There are better routes to consider, particularly creating a loop around the south side of College Station connecting 2818, Wellborn Road, and Wm. Fitch Parkway. Infrastructure already exists that would make this route more feasible and less destructive. Why the BCSMPO would even consider a route to Highway 30 via Emerald Forest is incomprehensible. Do not expand 2818 through our neighborhood.

Please remove the expansion of EF Parkway from all formal and informal plans for the city of College Station.

The roadway expansion would cut the neighborhood in half as well as possibly cause more runoff into Bee Creek which already has problems. I find it ok to go to Fitch or Harvey to pick up a route to Hwy 30. The neighborhood has a lot of young families in it as the area turns over. The Parkway is in the oldest area undergoing turnover so children safety is a concern. The other alternatives mentioned offer a lower cost solution to helping traffic as extending 2818 via Emerald Parkway takes you into low, marshy land thus higher roadway cost plus makes our present Bee Creek flooding problems worse.

Expansion of Emerald Forest through an already established family neighborhood ,after all these years, is not only dangerous but probably illegal..

Stop the expansion of 2818 or my home will be destoyed literally since I live on Emerald Pkwy. This beautiful, family neighborhood deserves better.

EF Parkway has a lot of speeders right now; just wait until the city expands 2818. No doubt a very dangerous prospect for one of CS's most well established and attractive areas. There are other, better ways to connect to Easterwood.

Having lived in CS for 50 years, I am soooo disappointed that our powers at be would make such an ill thought out devastating decision that will affect the good people that have contributed to making this a great place to live.

Do not let the proposed expansion of 2818 demolish our $200,000+ home and our neighborhood

I am an 85 year old widow who has lived Emerald Forest, College Station for 25 years. In signing this petition, I encourage you to remember that Emerald Forest is a particularly beautiful neighborhood in our thriving, upbeat city. Visitors take note of it and are encouraged to move to a place that protects its home owned citizens.

Stop the expansion of 2818 through Emerald Forest subdivision, which will cause our home to be demolished.

Please listen to us. Do not take away our homes and our neighborhood. College Station has very few NICE neighborhoods that the students are NOT taking over. I cannot believe our city government, who should be standing up for us, is even considering doing this to its voting citizens.

It makes no sense to divide a community when there are good alternatives.
