I have owned a home in Emerald Forest since 1982. When I first bought my house people "said why do you want to live way out there"! Well, I still want to live in the middle of town. Also, one of my daughters and her husband bought a house in Emerald Forest because it is a unique neighborhood. I know I won't live until 2050, but hopefully my daughter and her husband will. This neighborhood doesn't deserve to be cut in half be a totally inconceivable idea that will cost an enormous amount of money to build a Lake Pontchartrain bridge across a flood plain!

If this expansion is approved, our house will have to be demolished. Please don't let this happen as this has become a home that we plan to keep in our family for many years.

It is subdivisions such as Emerald Forest that make College Station a great place to live. College Station has always taken pride in being a safe and beautiful place to raise your children. Extending FM 2818 through that subdivision will destroy all that and more...be careful College Station!

Please do not cut through our lovely neighborhood. We already do not have adequate sidewalks to protect pedestrians and this extra traffic can possibly cause a dangerous situation to be even more dangerous. Our neighborhood pool access is split by Emerald Parkway and the extra traffic would endanger children and older neighborhood people, teenagers and seniors alike. We are deed restricted to protect the neighborhood integrity and this would hurt property values as well as living conditions we bought into when selecting and purchasing our homes. Please listen to our pleas and reasonable requests and stop this now!! The longer this goes on, the more unsettled and untrusting people become!!

The proposed 2818 extension through Emerald Forest will destroy this 40-year old established neighborhood.

The expansion of Emerald Parkway would totally wreck my peace and quiet and any chance of having a relaxing summer or weekend.
Children are more important than roads.
