I lived in this wonderful neighborhood for 25 years. The new City fathers policy is to build lovely neighborhoods and then destroy them. Stop!!!!

Kids need a safe place to live, away from the noise and unsafeness of the highways regardless of what you think is more efficient. They need the memories of a nice old wooded neighborhood they grew up in playing with other kids. That is what is wrong with our country now. Kids have lost that. We all have. Don't take that away from these people!

Please don't ruin one of College Station's prettiest neighborhoods. This is a cozy, family-friendly area that absolutely does not need a highway running through the middle of it.

Please stop considering this extension of 2818 through our neighborhood! One of the alternate routes should be used. This is just not necessary and will devastate the life savings of people who have relied on their home values for retirement. This is like stealing money out of people's pockets and I am sure the planners would not like to think they are the sort of people who would intentionally do this to anyone, much less to members of their own community.

We moved to Emerald Forest because of the well planned development. It's perfect. Don't mess with it. How am I going to WALK the neighborhood for exercise with a major thoroughfare splitting the planned community? How do I get to the community park?
I used to brag about College Station's well planned town, especially the roadways. The roadways do NOT invade neighborhoods and communities. They by-pass them, shifting traffic away from quiet neighborhoods (not through them). I just don't get how the idea arose for extending 2818. It goes against the current planning road trends of CS.

I love my neighborhood just as it is. Please consider Rock Prairie and Bird Pond Road as an alternative to Emerald Parkway as a connection to Hwy 30. Thank you.

It is foolish to go through an existing neighborhood when a much larger road (WD Fitch) already exists.

I concur that we must not turn Emerald Parkway into a connector for 2818 and Hwy 30. Use Rock Prairie and Bird Pond Road.

There has to be a better solution other than destroying a neighborhood. Progress that hurts citizens is not the kind of progress College Station needs.

How does government even consider this type of propsal? This is NOT for the common good. Find an alternate solution!
