The 2000 Section 106 agreement should be enforced. It is essential that green space be maintained between the settlements of Hatfield and St Albans, where there is already so much planned development. How can local residents trust their councils if legal agreements are not enforced?

We are already losing Symondshyde. These areas are what make our local area wonderful. Please let's not lose this too.

This is a beautiful area that should not be destroyed. The impact on local traffic if the quarry goes ahead will be significant.

We are losing too much of our lovely countryside to an already overcrowded city. The traffic and pollution has increased immensely already over the years and more developers will increase this and destroy our beautiful fields and wildlife.

What an awful proposal. Let's hope it doesn't go through.

This area is at the back of my home.
It is glorious to hear and see the cows and the wildlife. Its home to many memories.war memorial.and lovely walking area. It hosts a park run so is a popular spot for joggers andnpeople wanted to speed walk and keep fit.
The land needs to remain. Its much needed and wanted for the residents and widlife.

Working at a school where local children love going to Ellenbrook fields to walk their dogs and meet up. Added to that, we recently had a renowned wildlife photographer meet around 60 children, parents and other family members to enjoy and photograph the local fauna and flora. What a great educational loss to our community should the development go ahead.

I totally support this petition as it is a residential area - we do not want pollution be it air or noise. We need some open space.

One of the main philosophies behind the green belt is to stop settlements joining together - Hatfield and Albans need to keep their green separation.

This local open space needs to be protected as a nature reserve. The agreement made many years ago must be honoured.

I fully support this petition as Ellenbrook Fields is an important local natural habitat for many species of flora and fauna. Hertfordshire County Council and Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council entered into a Legal Agreement on 29th December 2000 to protect this open space.
It is well used and loved by local residents and should be protected for future generations.

We object to the development of new housing estate and minerals extraction in these areas. With both proposals on the table and if either is approved, the environments and habitats of many widelifes and country sides will be destroyed, validating the agreement that was signed to protect and further develop a country park in this area.
