Please extend funding for before and aftercare programs. This should be considered a vital part of any education institutions, as families rely on this for the ability to work and therefore provide the necessary food, clothes, activities etc needed for school age children. The burden of stress families must bear without before and aftercare options is beyond enormous. Please please find these programs! Kind regards.

This is a critical part of the shoreline community! Parents rely on before/aftercare to be able to work and provide for their families. Please do not take this away from shoreline parents who are working hard to put food on the table.

Meridian Park Elementary School Before and After Care is a critical support resource for our family. For many families (including ours), two parents need to work full time in order to afford costs of living in this school district. Before and After Care that is integrated with the school is the most convenient and safest option for families. Please collaborate with parents and families to maintain this necessary resource for working families.

We absolutely love the extended care providers at Brookside. All of them are attentive and caring and create an environment that is well structured and provides the consistency our son needs in his day. This offering is critical to our family.

Another thing I would note is that in order to live in this area, both parents have to work. If programs such as these start to disappear, there is a strong chance people will need to move out of the area creating a loss in the school system which we know is another problem. Counting on other organizations to pick up the slack is irresponsible. They will have nothing invested and could shut the doors at any time.

Out family relied on and loved the before and after care programs at Edwin Pratt. It's something that makes Shoreline unique and our daughter loved it so much she always asked to be picked up last.

The extended care is awesome. It helps the kids to communicate between the grades, have a great time together. It helps is a lot. The school starts late and it there is no care we won’t be able to work and have the kids at school.
