Getting rid of a gallery that has already had 100,000 visitors, that everyone now knows it's location and that therefore may return for future exhibitions is madness.
No Venue (rented instead of bought), no London Street Gallery, no Turner Gallery : Some people in Belfast have worked exceedingly hard to ensure there is no city of culture legacy here!

Spending half my time between Glasgow and Derry this cultural legacy must be preserved and is a great selling point for the city when I talk to my friends in Scotland.

Some kind of digital hub (fancy word for more office space when we've got loads already!) for who knows what kind of company, that will bring a limited amount of jobs for who knows how long until something cheaper comes along.

An international gallery that will attract unprecedented numbers of tourists and professionals from all over the world and will ensure growth and investment into the city for years to come.

Please do not turn this amazing space into office space - there are a thousand more creative things we could do this space which would enhance our city far beyond what office space can offer. I'd like to see us prove to the rest of the UK/world that we're not so short-sighted and small-town as to do something so economically & culturally unsound.

£2.5 million of public money has been used to develop the buildings at Ebrington into state-of-the-art galleries to host the Turner Prize for 2013. Currently these buildings will revert to office space after the show has closed. Considering the over-abundance of empty office space already in the city – and the potential cultural tourism attraction that this gallery could become – the city and its people would certainly lose a very valuable and culturally significant asset if we allow this to happen.

Turning buildings 80/81 into office space when so much money has been spent on converting them into such top end gallery space would be criminal. The visual art legacy for Derry/Londonderry 2013 has to be properly respected and this space has to be used for exhibition purposes. There are more than enough alternatives for office spaces in the city and to mess up this opportunity would be more than tragic.

This space should be retained as the gallery it is presently. And after all the money spent on it to bring the building to a standard to provide the great backdrop it has been for the great Turner Prize, We don't need more office space - not at the expense of "Turner Gallery" - Derry/Londonderry.
