As a local resident having a cultural focus on the Ebrington site would be great. Would also like to see more detail behind proposal to save the gallery space as is - specifically how would it be run, who would run it, what would its artistic rationale be and how would it connect to existing arts provision....buildings are only one part of developing a 'world-class cultural resource'

A city like Derry with its diverse community arts, public art and individual art endeavours needs a vibrant exhibition space. It would provide a focus for such activity and would be a tremendous boost to local artists and students not to mention an ongoing impact on tourism.

Seems a pity to loose this opportunity to get a good Gallery in the NW

Total and utter waist of a year if these premises are just turned into another pointless office block

It would be a great shame to lose such a beautiful exhibition space integrated into ebrington as well as the legacy it will carry from hosting the turner prize for the first time in ireland

Would be madness to lose this valuable asset within our city.

Don't let ebrington become a dead space. Look at the Baltic in gateshead what that did for the area

To Relevant Responsible Representatives in Derry City Council, ILEX and the NI Assembly. Please Consider and Respect the Voice of Your Community, Preserve the Entity / Invaluable Asset for the City & DO THE RIGHT THING. There is no shame in changing your mind - there is Serious Shame in Failure to act in favour of an important ingredient and vital part of the fabric of the Community.
I am certain You will all take stock and take the correct avenue re The EBRINGTON GALLERY.

The Turnet Prize showed what Derry is missing. With respect to digital start-ups you don't need a £2.5m air-conditioned gallery space.
