This facility must be maintained for the arts. There are plenty of unused office units in our city. This is a no brainer

It is vital this beautiful building continues as a cultural venue for province wide events; whilst there are many empty offices on both banks of the city for office use.

Hard to believe in a world so connected, to have been living in a part of it struggling so much for its freedom and right to exist in peace and embrace the future that now after gaining an international quality arts venue backed and endorsed by the Tate to remain so, one has to actually blink and ask why does the obvious delude the decisonmakers?

I think I am like many people who will visit NI who would expect to visit The Turner Prize exhibition space and see an interesting exhibition/ cultural installation is there. Don't miss this wonderful opportunity for NI.

It is vital to sustain this as an Art gallery. As a musician, I feel very strongly about the positive impact the arts can have on individuals and society in general. In this regard, removing an infrastructure like Ebrington as an art gallery and supplanting it as office space is a travesty. I hope this does not happen.

Have visited Ebrington several times. It is an amazing cultural space with great tourism potential. I have never seen the city so alive with cultural tourists - makes economic as well as cultural sense to develop this space. It is a unique asset that can be exploited to the benefit of business and artistic communities.

This is the perfect space for a gallery and artist studios that would keep attracting the tourists now that it is a well known landmark in cultural terms. You can't buy that prestige and to throw it away would be a gross stupidity. It's a gold mine sitting on your doorstep!

Where do i start....when 9/11 happened,cant believe it is 13 years....i was painting my dining room at Abbey B&B.....up to my eye balls in debt....even the credit union across the street though i was mad AND would not lend me any money....Thank God, gave me the grace and insight to think different....I studied Tourism for 3 years and also thought that this wonderful place with different names should be a City of Culture....to verify ask for minutes of meetings 18th May 2005 DVCB....guess what the COE as she like to be refereed then"manager to me" rolled her eyes to the then deputy chief executive of Derry City Council and dismissed me as .......well you can guess.....NEGATIVE PEOPLE IN BIG POSITIONS have kept us where we are for so long....So Please F... Off...we have sussed you all out big time....Don,t preach to the wonderful people of Derry-Londonderry anymore because we have sussed you out.......A gallery that has hosted the TURNER PRIZE so successfully should use this fantastic opportunity and remain a Gallery.......Derry-Londonderry has loads of office and empty spaces....to go after a building that is part of our now......and our history is madness..... So the message is loud and clear.......There is people in this City, who don,t fall into the political trap......who are keeping the place ticking over without consultants ideas......Who are FUCKED off to the teeth of being told what we accept and what we should not accept......THIS IS SOMETHING WE SHOULD ALL STAND TOGETHER......I Live in a place where the people for years have been let down by the no marks who we think will represent us...... Your day is over and our day has come....EBRINGTON BUILDING SHOULD STAY AS A GALLERY.

It's time Derry stood up for what it's entitled to and support the arts. Derry has an enthusiastic appreciation of the arts in all its forms and we need to prioritise supporting the saving of this building as a gift from the city of culture year.
