WE ALREADY HAVE MANY OF THEM AND WOULD LIKE TO SEE AFFORDABLE HOUSES FOR OUR FAMILIES AND NOT APARTMENTS.
WE ALSO NEED THE TIR TAXES TO RENEW AND REDEVELOP OUR EXISTING NEIGHBOORHOODS, THESE DEVELOPERS WILL NOT PAY TAXES AND GET BREAKS WHILE OUR TAXES KEEP GOING UP.

We already have enough New Hope Housing in our area. We need them to be in other parts of the city! East End is not a non profit area! Keep tax increments for much needed development in our area!

Dear Mayor and councilmembers,
Although it's important to provide affordable housing to our neighbors , it's also important to provide equal education and opportunities but more than anything why keep the richer richer and the poor poorer? If I pay taxes and many others do you well why reward a developer that's already making millions on contracts without contributing to our city, police dept, fire, etc..

The East end of Houston has been a hub of investment by businesses and homeowners for the last 5 years. These investors and home owners have placed there bets on this revitalized neighborhood with the hopes the city would not double down on the policies that has led to the homeless issues currently seen in the area. To place these low income houses is such a highly concentrated area would surely damage the investments so many Houstonians made in good faith.

The east end does not need any more low housing !!! In fact the second and fifth wards don’t need anymore low housing , what we need is good schools so the children that live in those wards have a chance to have a fair shot at life , and by doing low housing you make sure that will never happen!!!
So please go away from
The east end or better put the fifth and second ward , far away .

Affordable housing must be distributed into different areas of town, so that this people can obtain access to good markets, education, emergency services, etc... keeping them together is a recipe for more crime and failure.
