It's unreasonable to continue creating massive projects in an area that already contains a large amount of affordable / section 8 housing units. I was under the impression that most sensible cities were moving towards smaller developments or integrating a small amount of units along with market rate residences to minimize impact on neighborhood, but the proposed Ojala and NRP projects look like the exact opposite, building massive tenement scale facilities that have proven to be a failure throughout the years. Instead of relocating Clayton to another area or dispersing through smaller and more manageable facilities (or individual homes), they are building even larger facilities in neighborhoods already overloaded with section 8 / affordable housing. I don't see how this attempt is anything other than a backstab at a neighborhood that is just starting to show signs of improvement and growth.

5th ward has a lot of affordable housing. Please distribute the housing around Houston. This will not enable schools to improve or give these children a fighting chance to get out of poverty w increased education. Affordable housing children will just go to school together and keep the cycle of poverty going until they are spread out and placed throughout the city for a better education.

NO MORE low income housing in the EAST END we are hard working families that PAY taxes and send our kids to our local schools. We DO NOT need over population in schools to increase more than it is. Create these low income housing with tax exemptions outside the loop in other parts of town. Evenly distribute these housing across Houston preferably where these investors live and stay, so they understand the frustration.

I do not agree with adding more low income housing to the East End. I am tired of these developers getting "tax exemptions" when we are hard working people who do pay our taxes and get no benefit from the city giving these exemptions to put in more low income housing. There is enough low income housing in this area already! The city does not care about the East End and I refuse to support those elected officials who continue to put all of these projects in our neighborhood instead of spreading them out.
