Houses in the East end neighborhoods will loss their current value if this plan goes ahead the way it has been presented! Why do current hone owners should accept losing their property value? Who is behind this curtain of people that want to make money building houses but with taxes exceptions? I would love to see how the current home owners will benefit from this new developments. This is simply not fair

This goes against what HUD recommends for quality of life for most affordable housing projects. I also have concerns that some of these properties were contaminated w toxic waste.

Why build housing that forces other taxpayers to pay for both it and for the taxes that are not collected by the residents of that housing, and put it all in areas that should be developed in line with all the other development around this area? Why can't folks who can't afford to live close to downtown do what the rest of us, who pay for our own housing, do? Get a job further out of town.

Why does subsidizes housing need to reside in prime location near downtown? Other residents pay their taxes and higher rates to be inside the loop.

As a resident of this neighborhood, our family is aware that the schools are already distressed. Specifically, Wheatley has received F ratings for 7 consecutive years and the brand new Bruce elementary is struggling to receive D and F ratings. The schools are already burdened and distressed. Adding more low income students will further burden the schools that are already struggling. More importantly, these schools will not provide the low income families the best chance for success given their long history of failing ratings. We ask that you do not modify the rules concerning school ratings as per the Proposed Qualified Allocation Plan at 10 Texas Administrative Code (TAC) Chapter 11 and Proposed Multifamily Housing Revenue Bond Rule at 10 Texas Administrative Code (TAC) Chapter 12 currently shown on the TDHCA website.“
