I don’t believe they should have the right to continually add more affordable housing in an area already overburdened.

I am against this planed development.

Do not develop low income housing in east end!

panhandling is already out of control in the area. Property values cannot sustain additional housing projects.

Please don’t move forward with placing low income housing units in the East End. Not fair to the East End residents!!! Don’t squelch the revitalization of East End!

Take it somewhere else please.

I support diversity and support public housing. Yet I am opposed to large communities of public housing. This is the only reason I’m signing this petition. Placing a community of 200+ houses will not bring about effective change for the disadvantaged. There is a greater possibility the residents in this large community will stay within the community instead of forging friendships with others with different economic backgrounds and economic opportunities. By developing relationships with people who differ socioeconomically we can learn from each other and live peacefully. Children of the middle class will have a greater appreciation of their parents and their home life when their friend has less than they do. Children living below the poverty line will see through their friendship home ownership and generating wealth. Second Ward, Fifth Ward and the East End should continue to be a diverse community however let there be several small communities of 50 homes sprinkle throughout the areas not clustered together. Furthermore, the problem with Clayton Homes today is it is sequestered, in a hole. It has the bayou, freeway, and railroad isolating it. Only one way in or out. These communities should have several ways in or out; not limited. Let’s give those that are in need several ways out of poverty - figuratively and physically.

Please restrict government housing in this area, cities are safer in small pockets.

We need to improve our downtown and East downtown areas. Houston need to be prepare for the future! Save EaDo and the loop

No more low income housing in the area please

I am opposed to this proposition.

East End wants to be a community that represents the pride and diversity of the city of Houston and grow into a bustling, beautiful and safe area for families to flourish. The tax breaks that this gives for this amount of land will hurt the local police department, fire department, roads and infrastructure, school support, and so many other things. There are nearly a thousand affordable/low income housing within a mile radius, and our local schools are over populated and under scoring. This will do a disservice to the community that the governing entity is claiming to help. It breaks my heart that our Representatives who are supposed to represent the welfare of the community would do something as malicious as this for their own profit.

I am against this projects.

The manner in which Clayton Homes relocation is being handled is WRONG in many levels and is very disturbing. It is very challenging to be poor and there is nothing wrong about it. However, these families are being held hostage politically with a unreasonable amount of ransom money on schedule.

You have my support to stop this.

I am AGAINST the restructuring of low income housing around East End!

I am available to help in any way you need me. I have been canvassing my neighborhood getting signatures for the HUD letters. I feel I can do more.
