Save East Knox County

Please save what liitle farm land we have. Also our schools are over crowded to start with in this area where are going to put x amounts of students

Knox County is one of the fastest-growing counties in Tennessee, and infrastructure is struggling to keep up. • Roads, schools, and utilities are already under pressure • Nearly 5,600 new residential units were permitted in 2024 alone, above the 5-year average. Northeast Knox County has a distinct character—once it’s gone, it’s gone. Not every area should be turned into high-density housing, especially if it conflicts with the long-term land use plan. Developers often get approvals without being required to fully mitigate their impact—whether that’s traffic improvements, environmental protection, or community integration. That burden falls on current residents.

Keep the farm land!

We can not return to farms after we have developed.

The planning commission needs to realize they are allowing way too many housing projects to be developed in such a short time span in East Knoxville. The schools cannot handle such a quick influx. The roads are small and adequate for more traffic and you are allowing so many wooded areas to be torn down that affect wildlife and erosion issues are developing also.
