This school helped shape who I am as a person, and grow in a community with other students who shared the same interests that larger schools wouldn't put that much effort in caring about. The teachers care so much about all of us and our education. Please don't close this school, myself and many other students were able to feel comfortable in our own skin here.

Its breaks my heart hearing Eba might be closing. I graduated in 2011. And within those years this school taught me to be more confident, outspoken, and more out of the box type person. We was a family not just staff and students. This school brought the best in every one that stepped in the doors.

A school that promotes the arts while helping and supporting its students who might be otherwise discriminated against deserves to be saved.

This is the High School I've graduated from back in 2009, and it breaks my heart to hear it will be closing. It's a great school where high schoolers can express there talents in performing arts and give those the courage to show their creative talents.
I agree to sign this petition.

I planned on going here for my freshman year and if East bay arts shuts down I won't be able to have the best experience my sister had!

Save EBA. Don't take away the one place that "those" kids can go to feel loved/supported/appreciated/WANTED. Not all of us fit in.. At EBA we stand out.

I chose to be in this school, nothing can express how distraught I am to learn that we might be shut down. There are reasons for EBA to not shut down. Arroyo just teaches you to be a worker, and SLZ pretty much makes you have a mask on to make you look tough. But EBA? EBA teaches us to think, to be confident in what we do, and most importantly, make us know our careers can come true. The teachers here have taught me important things, and inspired me, and that's what other schools wouldn't. My Biology and 10th Grade teachers have inspired me to become a biologist, and a teacher who can make the class really fun! My Video Production teacher taught me to take an interest into video making and editing. My World History teacher taught me that we will have to do things ourselves even when we don't enjoy them. My Algebra II teacher always encouraged me to always keep trying. Without these teachers, and with out EBA, i would've been a dull, boring, and quiet person. Everyone at school I consider family, this is OUR home. This is a place where we can feel FREE, and not feel like we're just drones working for one purpose. EBA WILL STAY NO MATTER WHAT!

If you close this school you are not thinking of the kids that do well in this kind of environment. This is a wonderful small school that needs to stay open.

Alternative programs are far and few. It is important to give all children an education that can inspire them. Keep this school open.

I have always thought this school would be a great place for my son in the distant future.. he is only 3 now and at this rate will will miss out on it. Save the school! There are people out there who are interested in what this school has to offer that is so different than the general high schools in this area.

Not a single school can compare to this one. Switched from Arroyo to EBA and never regretted it. EBA is a loving and amazing school that will except you no matter what. The misconception that people don't understand abou It is they think we don't do actual school work or college prep classes but in reality, since the class sizes are so small it makes it a better environment to ask questions and get the help we need to be as successful as possible. Each teacher cares more than humanly possible to make sure we have an amazing high school experience, even if we didn't have the funds like the bigger high schools do. I personally got to have connections with all of my teachers and they all were cheering for me to succeed and follow my dreams. I could go on about this amazing school but I think for an underdog looking for their place in the world, this is the only school that would be able to give them the platform to do so. Thank you EBA for everything you did for me.
